Fabrics, Furniture, Colors... these are a few of our favorite things! It sounds like we're singing a favorite tune, but these elements are the beginnings of creating yet another beautiful home for a client.
This house was already fabulous with high ceilings and great architecture. Just look at how high that fireplace is! It also has an open floor plan that includes the entry, dining room, great room, kitchen and TV room.
High ceilings and great architecture make enjoying a home easier but can also present the homeowner with some design challenges. This is where we come in! We had the opportunity to work with our client from the very beginning to create a relaxing, comfortable home in a clean, contemporary style.
We had the sofa in our store for her to see, touch and test for comfort. With this main piece chosen, we went to "Fabric World" (in our store) where over 4,000 fabrics wait to be used on sofas and chairs. The client wanted grays, blacks and whites so we mixed textures and tones. Adding a fabulous drapery print that picked up the colors in a contemporary tree design really pulled the area together.
Our recommendation for the dining room was to use a round table that fit her space better. We found the perfect table in gray wood tones. It works beautifully with the black china cabinet. The chairs have clean lines and are upholstered with a fabric that is easy to maintain and clean; you can wipe away spills!
We played around with accessories in the client's color story, and then with pops of orange just to show how easy it is to change the feeling with an accent color. Either way, our After pictures show a beautiful home in two contemporary color stories that will look current for many years to come.
