In another new home the owners asked for help. We decided to paint the fireplace black, and add black shades on the windows to pull the black from the area rug. He is a musician so we had to find a spot for his albums. We balanced the weight of items on the top two shelves and placed his record player just where he wanted it. The contrast between the wood and black adds so much interest to the room.

We continued the black accents in the living room and accented with the most beautiful color of green on the sofa to add contrast. The drapes pick up the sofa color and also blend well with the carpet. Original art and mirrors frame the TV and give balance to the wall.

We carried the black around the room by adding black pillows on the sofa. The contrast with the sofa really sets it off. The coffee table is square which is perfect for this furniture set up and has a touch of a metallic trim for interest.

The open floor plan has the dining area placed with the living room so we carried the black into the fabric of the chairs. We accented the large wall with a perfectly sized mirror and the table has a large perfectly shaped vase with gold and silver eggs to pick up the gold and silver accents in the room.

Opposite the sofa we placed black chairs with gold trim and small matching tables. To continue carrying the black around the room we painted this wall black. We have created a perfectly balanced room with interest throughout.
