Dreamy Bedrooms

The starting point of any room is the largest piece you sit or lie down on. The comfort of the piece is the most important aspect of buying furniture. On this bed we found the best choice of fabric for the headboard and worked from there. We chose a polyester because of it's cleanability and durability, in a light neutral with a subtle tone on tone pattern.

Maria likes neutrals, but she wanted to add some color for interest in her bedroom and this one looks great with touches of lavender and aqua in the art and accessories. The comforter and duvet for the end of the bed along with the pillows add the interest of different colors, fabrics and textures. One thing to watch is the alternating of colors on the pillows. We always pull the duvet color to the pillows for the balance needed.

The windows are covered with Hunter Douglas wooden shutters to hold down the bright light and invite a calmness to the room. Every bedroom needs to feel cozy and calm for waking and preparing to have a good nights sleep.

The nightstands are demilune and the curves add a softness to the room. The furniture is all very light and neutral in color and the contrast of aqua and lavender really adds the interest needed. Maria and Danny are very happy with their bedroom!

Guest Bedroom Update

This bedroom just needed a lighter look so we again chose the headboard fabric and moved forward from there. Every headboard doesn’t need to be neutral and here we have a beautiful aqua velvet accented with a printed duvet and pillows pulling the colors together.

The room has added interest in the linen texture of the furniture that complements the bedding. All the light colors make the room relaxing and very inviting for any guest. The aqua tones give it an absolutely calming and comfortable feeling. Adding a lamp on the nightstand in addition to overhead light gives a warm glow and makes it feel just like home.
